State of Hawai’i Department of Health Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion Division is hiring a Bilingual Health Aide (BHA) for their Pandemic Response Expansion Project (PREP)!

Exempt, non-civil service, full-time, temporary appointment at

  • Hilo, Hawaii
  • Kona, Hawaii
  • Wailuku/Kahului, Maui

The Pandemic Response Expansion Project (PREP) Bilingual Health Aide (BHA) positions will be responsible for providing a direct line of support to recent immigrants, migrants, and limited and non-English proficient (LEP) populations assuring access to and understanding of health promotion, prevention, education, and health services; interpreting and educating individuals, families, and groups on preventative health measures and strategies, health resources within the community, and state health regulations and requirements; conducting and assisting in-home visits and assessments that require additional health education, screening, management, treatment, or care; other activities as assigned; and more.
