Our goal for conferences is to unify the voices of Community Health Workers throughout the state of Hawai’i, and strengthen the profession’s capacity to promote healthy communities through the sharing of knowledge, resources, and expertise.
Conference Objectives:
- Identify the role of Community Health Workers in improving access to culturally appropriate care, addressing health disparities, and promoting social justice throughout Hawai’i
- Motivate and increase CHW involvement in legislation efforts that relate to the growth of their profession.
- Continue the discussion and development with CHW allies and employers on efforts to strengthen the CHW profession.
- Continue the growth of the Hawai‘i Community Health Worker Association (HICHW).
